The National Parks Service's mission is to preserve unimpaired natural and cultural resources and values of the National Park System for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations. A content audit is a cornerstone of content strategy. Content is the information contained within communication media. This includes the internet, cinema, television, radio, audio, CDs, books, magazines, physical art, and live event content. Content strategy is the planning, development, and management of content – in written or other media.
